PDF Guide Press is a trading name of Ctrl+Alt+Evolve LLC ("we", "us"). This page explains what personal information we collect when you use pdfguidepress.net, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
Short version: we collect what is needed to sell you a file and send it to you. We do not sell your information to anyone.
WHAT WE COLLECT
When you buy something:
- Name and email address
- Billing address
- Payment information, processed by Shopify. We never see or store your full card number.
- What you bought, and when
When you sign up for emails: your email address.
When you browse the site: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and the site you came from. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
When you email us: whatever you put in the email.
WHY
- To take payment and deliver your files
- To send order confirmations and download links
- To answer your emails
- To send marketing emails, if you asked for them
- To understand how the site is used
- To meet legal and tax obligations
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We use a small number of services to run the store. Each receives only what it needs.
Shopify — store, checkout and payments. Sees name, email, billing address, payment and order details.
Digital Products — delivers your download. Sees name, email, order details.
Upsell.com — offers shown after checkout. Sees order details and email.
Loox — review requests. Sees name, email, order details.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We may disclose information if the law requires it.
YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Get a copy of it
- Correct it
- Ask us to delete it
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of it. We do not do either, but you can confirm your preference on the Your Privacy Choices page.
- Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights
Email info@pdfguidepress.net and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
If you sign up for our list, you can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any email. Order confirmations and download links are not marketing. You will get those whether or not you are subscribed, because you need them.
COOKIES
The site uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and understand traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The cart may stop working if you do.
CHILDREN
This store sells to adults. Several of our guides are written for parents, about children. The products are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
Order records: as long as tax and accounting rules require, currently seven years.
Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe.
Support emails: up to two years.
CHANGES
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you by email.
